Zoloft is an antidepressant medication, used to treat clinical depression. Zoloft is also known by other names including Zolosoft, Sertralin, Lustral, Apo-Sertral, Asentra, Gladem, Serlift, Stimuloton, Xydep, Serlain, Concorz.

Some other similar antidepressant drugs are: Paxil, Prozac, and Celexa. All these antidepressant drugs work by increasing the serotonin level in the brain, which elevates mood.
